Amy DiGennaro, Detail from Marilyn the Sedulous, Hours of Bona Sforza, 2008, graphite on paper, 40” x 60”

All of the images in this series deal with narratives: personal, familial, cultural.  I want to load the images to overflowing and use the circularity of the border-work to suggest no exact starting or finishing point for the narrative, which is non-linear and layered.  I want these drawings to echo the lived experience of these kinds of narratives in all their instability, murkiness and subjectivity.
